More Cupcakes

As you all know by now.. I am obsessed with cupcakes, eating them, baking them, and decorating them. I am definitely not very good baking & decorating them yet but I do find it suuuuper fun. And I am BEYOND a pro at eating them. I found a couple 'e card' things online that are super funny and they are about cupcakes! ...Go figure.

Celebrity Style

Sometimes I wish I were a celebrity just so I could wear crazy outfits everyday, do different hairstyles everyday, and wear dramatic make up.. I realize you don't HAVE to be a celebrity to do those things but it makes it a whole lot easier when you have the money to buy these amazing clothes and if you look super 'high fashion' all the time nobody thinks you're weird!

Forgiveness

Being able to forgive is honestly one of the hardest things for me. Even though I am thankful that I can be forgiven, I am not the best at returning the favor. Especially lately, I feel like I've really been tested lately with a lot of situations that just make me angry and hateful. Something I have had to realize (but definitely still have not perfected) is that holding on to the anger and frustration does nothing but hurt me. Forgiving the people who upset us and intentionally try to hurt us is really only a favor to ourselves, although that is much easier said that done. Because once we forgive it's easier to forget and move past things.
Here's a quote I found that goes along with that:
 

Another thing I realized, often times when someone needs to be forgiven they've done something to intentionally hurt or upset us. In that case, they don't care to have our forgiveness or for us to be happy. Which is why this quote by Oscar Wilde is so good, “Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much."
I'm sorry to bombard you with quotes, but there are so many good ones out there that bring me a lot of comfort when I'm in the process of trying to forgive someone. This one by Mother Teresa is my absolute favorite quote on forgiveness: “People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway. If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.” 


The last part of that quote is the very best part for me. 
It's nice to know that to forgive someone doesn't mean you have to like what they did and become their best friend. It just means that you give yourself some peace of mind, and you also can continue to be forgiven.

Ciruqe du Soleil

Last night I had the opportunity to go to Cirque du Soleil in Salt Lake with my mom. It was so much fun! The show is so much better live than on TV. I seriously wonder how people can do those things, it's so crazy! I highly recommend going to see one of their shows.

Another thing we did was go to a restaurant called Schlotzky's that we used to love, until they closed all of them around here down. My mom found one up in Sandy so we went there for dinner and it was great!
