More Chocolate

I made a delicious pie that my Mom makes. It is the easiest and most divine thing in the world. It's chocolate.. so of course it's amazing. All you have to do is get an oreo pie crust (anyone with taste buds is probably already sold on this), a tub of cool whip and a packet of chocolate pudding. You mix the pudding and cool whip together, pour it in the pie crust and then let it sit in the fridge for a couple of hours. To make it look better, my Mom would put candy bar shavings along the top of the pie, but I didn't do that.. because I'm lazy.

It's amazing. So here is a picture of me eating the pie for dinner, hahaha!

And on a side note, I painted my nails with some new gold nail polish I got.. and I'm obsessed.

Mastering the Art of French Cooking

As of right now, I am excited. For Valentine's Day I got Julia Child's 'Mastering the Art of French Cooking' cookbook! I've been looking through it, and it all looks kind-of difficult. I'm still excited to attempt to cook/bake everything in the book! Maybe I'll try to do what "Julie" did in one of my favorite movies, 'Julie & Julia' and cook/bake all the recipes in a year. Just kidding, I won't.

I'm really excited. As soon as I finish my first baking project from this book, I will be sure to write about it!

Valentine's Day Cupcakes

Surprise! It's another post about cupcakes. Tonight I made Valentine's Day themed cupcakes for my sisters. They aren't as cute as the cupcakes I made last year, but they're still delicious! I did yellow cake with chocolate frosting this time. I decorated them with some cute glitter sprinkles, pearl sprinkles, and heart sprinkles.

I used my cute little cupcake maker to make these. It is a lot of fun, but hard to tell when they're done because it browns the outside before cooking the inside.. which is frustrating. I still love it, though! haha.

Now to get a little off topic, I was in a festive mood after decorating the cupcakes, so I painted my nails to fit the holiday:

Happy Valentine's Day!

The Headbands

Anybody who knows me probably knows that I'm obsessed with headbands and head wraps. They are so cute and can so easily be dressed up or down. They're ideal for holding your hair back when you go running, for a day when you don't feel like doing your hair, or just to help make an outfit. I have more headbands than I could even count and I wear them as much as possible.

Okay, that's a lot of pictures. But I couldn't decide which ones to use since they are all so cute, so I had to use them all!
And here is my absolute favorite (Audrey, of course):

Travel

I know I have talked about this before, but I'm absolutely fascinated with other countries. I would LOVE to be able to travel the world (cliche, I know) and experience all the different sights and cultures.

I love looking at pictures of the nature, the fashion, the buildings, and the art of other places. And I know that pictures don't even do the real thing justice.

Italy

Japan

Norway

Ireland

Venice

Those pictures are all gorgeous- and courtesy of Pinterest. Seeing these places and spending time there with the people who live there would be so surreal and incredible- not to mention, educational. Time to start saving up!

Cupcake Maker

I got the cutest new mini cupcake maker and I love it! It's so cute and so fun to use. It only takes about 5 minutes to bake cupcakes and they turn out just as good as they would if you baked them in the oven. The cupcake maker got its first use baking hot chocolate cupcakes (chocolate cake mix with marshmallows baked in and marshmallow frosting.) They turned out so yummy and it was so quick!

I'm so excited to use it again and hopefully the next batch will turn out just as good!

Resolutions

Once again, it's time for New Year's resolutions. I have a list of some resolutions I've made for myself, some are big and some are very small. Either way those are things I want to change or improve about myself and I have set out small steps along the way to help me reach the big goal. Of course, we don't NEED a new year to set goals and make resolutions, but it definitely is a good time.. a new year means new change. As I've said in the past, one of the hardest things for me to do is "accept what I can't change." I have never been good at that, and I've always been one to stress about and try to change things that cannot be changed. This year, one of my biggest focuses will be to learn to accept what I can't change, and try not to hold grudges about those things.

That is a quote I found about the subject, and here is an even better one (according to me):

I'm excited about the coming year, although some of my goals will be hard to reach, I am excited about the end result.. more than excited! Here are a couple more quotes I found. (I know, I'm the queen of quotes.)

Good luck to all of us with our goals, and Happy New Year!
